This is a hybrid position, offering the flexibility of remote telework with the requirement to be on-site at least one day per week on average. Occasional adjustments may be made based on team needs or project demands.
At Yext, Product Engineering builds and evolves the technology behind our products and services. We’re looking for software engineers who want to solve meaningful technical problems, contribute to systems at scale, and help shape what we build next.
We work in an agile environment with two-week sprints and regular demos that keep teams aligned and give engineers clear visibility into the impact of their work. From day one, you’ll contribute directly to the codebase and collaborate with experienced engineers from a wide range of leading universities and technology companies.
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join Team Artemis, which builds and maintains key features of Yext's Social products. The team owns systems that help businesses create, manage, and distribute social media content at scale, including content libraries, campaign management, post scheduling, and publishing workflows. The team also works on AI-powered content creation, helping customers simplify and automate their social media activities.
As part of Artemis, you'll work on a mix of customer-facing features and the backend services that power them, from building intuitive user experiences to developing scalable systems that process and distribute content. You'll have opportunities to work across the full stack, solve interesting technical challenges, and build reliable solutions used by businesses to manage their social media presence.
This role is based in our Budapest office, where in-person collaboration plays an important part in how our teams work, learn, and build relationships. We’re looking for people who genuinely value that environment and are comfortable coming into the office at least one day per week. At the same time, we don’t prescribe specific in-office days and want employees to have the flexibility to handle personal needs without disrupting their work or team collaboration.
What You’ll Do
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and ongoing operation
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and deployment of highly scalable and reliable systems
- Develop storage systems, libraries, and frameworks
- Proactively contribute ideas for new features and identify opportunities to improve our products, systems, and engineering practices
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across engineering and with partners throughout the company
- Write clean, tested, and well-documented code
- Use AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully to accelerate engineering work, explore solutions, improve code quality, and reduce repetitive tasks
- Critically evaluate, test, and validate AI-generated output rather than treating it as inherently correct
- Maintain ownership of all work produced with AI assistance, including its correctness, security, maintainability, and alignment with our engineering standards
What You Have
- A bachelor's degree (BSc) or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience
- A strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design
- Fluency with Java, C++, Python, or a similar programming language (we code primarily in Java and Go)
- Openness to new technologies, new ways of working, and creative solutions
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to evaluate technical solutions critically, including code and recommendations produced by AI tools
- Experience using—or a demonstrated interest in learning—AI-assisted development tools as part of a responsible engineering workflow
- Sound judgment regarding data privacy, intellectual property, security, and the appropriate use of confidential information when working with AI tools
