WHAT DOES A SENIOR BACKEND JAVA ENGINEER DO AT PALO IT?
As a Senior Backend Java Engineer at PALO IT, you will be pivotal in shaping the next wave of software innovation through the following responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications in Java (Java 8+) ensuring high availability.
- Implement robust RESTful APIs with features like versioning, authentication, and documentation utilizing Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Build microservices employing frameworks such as Spring Boot and/or Jakarta EE.
- Efficiently manage and integrate relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL technologies (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).
- Optimize data access through ORM frameworks such as Hibernate or JPA.
- Develop and implement unit tests and automated API tests using tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers, and Postman/Newman.
- Apply SOLID principles, design patterns, and secure development best practices (e.g., OWASP).
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Collaborate in agile teams (Scrum) and participate actively in code reviews and pull request management.
- Identify bottlenecks and optimize performance in production environments.
- Communicate technical solutions and document APIs in English in an international setting.
WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED FOR THIS ROLE?
