About the Role We are a fast-growing company in the home-appliances and furniture rental space, looking for a dynamic Assistant Manager - Legal to join our Bengaluru office. The ideal candidate should have 4–5 years of experience in corporate legal work, excellent drafting skills, and a strong understanding of Contract Laws, the Companies Act, 2013, applicable stamp duty and registration laws, Transfer of Property Act, 1882 and other related laws. You’ll work closely with multiple business teams — operations, customer-service, vendor management, procurement, and finance — to handle contracts, compliances, and legal notices from customers and vendors. Key Responsibilities ● Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts — rental agreements, vendor/supplier contracts, and service agreements. ● Manage end-to-end contract lifecycle: risk review, approvals, renewals, and repository maintenance. ● Liaise with multiple internal departments to coordinate and respond to customer/vendor complaints and legal notices. ● Liaise with external counsels and law firms in relation to the consumer disputes, employee disputes, vendor disputes and likewise. ● Support in dispute resolution, coordinating with external counsel where required. ● Keep track of new legal/regulatory developments affecting the rental business. ● Maintain legal trackers, templates, and checklists for contracts and compliances. ● Assist the General Manager - Legal in corporate and compliance projects. Required Qualifications & Skills ● LL.B. / B.A. LL.B. / B.B.A. LL.B. / B.Com. LL.B. (Qualified Lawyer) with 4–5 years PQE. ● Experience in in-house legal roles or corporate law firms (contracting + compliance focus). ● Strong knowledge of Contract Law and Companies Act, 2013. ● Excellent drafting and communication skills. ● Prior experience of liaising with internal teams and handling customer/vendor legal notices. ● Proactive, detail-oriented, and business-minded. ● Based in or willing to relocate to Bengaluru. ● The Candidate may be required to travel based on the requirements of the
