Solo Grants Microgrant
$100 to $1,000 for a solo builder's bill of materials, open to anyone of any age anywhere in the world, roughly ten days from application to funded.
What you get
“Solo Grants cover the parts, compute, and materials, from $100 to $1,000, that stand between a passion project and the first version that works.”
Can you apply
It's open to anyone, any age, anywhere in the world, especially for people who can't easily cover the cost of the build themselves. We take real life into account: work status, dependents, what you have coming in.
When
Always open, applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
What Solo Grants funds
Funds one person building one real thing. Covers the parts, compute and materials between a passion project and its first working version, with an explicit preference for builders who cannot easily cover the cost themselves and no expectation that the project becomes a business.

Applications are reviewed continuously via an Airtable form with no published rounds or deadlines. Published grants range from $100 to $1,000 against itemised bills of materials for hardware, lab reagents, PCB fabrication and compute. Commercial-stage projects are pointed at a separate Solo Founders program instead.
