Customers that are new to Modal and meet the below requirements are eligible to apply. Credits are a one-time grant and you may not reapply once you have received credits in a given tier. Seed to Series A - Free credits for rising startups: Raised any amount of VC funding from our VC partner network; Raised VC funding >$1m from any fund.

What Modal funds
Modal for Startups gives serverless GPU credits, engineering support and GTM amplification to AI-native startups. Both tiers are explicitly gated on venture funding, so there is no bootstrapped path.
