Startups eligible for Start tier must: Designed for digital-native technology startups with a working MVP, a clear business model, and plans to seek venture funding soon*; Have been founded within the last 24 months; Have not received Google Cloud credits beyond free trial. *Excluding service agencies, consultancies, and traditional small businesses.

The Google for Startups Cloud Program hands out Google Cloud credits in two clearly separated tiers: a small pre-funded tier for MVP builders and a large tier reserved for startups with institutional equity funding, with an extra credit pool for AI-first companies.
