The SkyDeck Berkeley Acceleration Method is a six-month process open to startups in any vertical. Roughly 20 startups are selected every six months and receive a $210,000 investment from the Berkeley SkyDeck Fund for 7.5% of the company, typically structured as a post-money SAFE. The fund also commits to invest up to 10% of the company's first institutional funding round. SkyDeck charges each cohort startup a $7.5K programme fee. Startups from anywhere in the world are eligible; SkyDeck also runs a separate earlier-stage Pad-13 track that requires a UC-affiliated founder and carries different terms, which is not covered by this row.
