We look for velocity, magnetism, relentlessness, and a spike, a rare skill or expertise. Founders need the right to work in the UK or to be actively pursuing visa applications. Antler does not back solo founders; the goal is to form a complementary founding team during the residency.

What Antler funds
A day-zero investor running residencies in roughly 30 cities where individuals join without a co-founder or idea, form teams during the programme, and take investment at inception. Terms are set per country rather than globally.

The UK residency runs eight weeks in London, followed by a build-and-raise phase of roughly 10 to 12 weeks for teams selected for investment. Antler invests £125,000 for 8.5% equity plus £85,000 via a convertible note, £210,000 at inception, and charges a £40,000 service fee for workspace and support. Under the Agreement for Rolling Capital, founders can access up to a further £330,000 if raising £1.5M or more, or up to £165,000 if raising under £1.5M, within nine months. Antler does not back solo founders; the residency exists to form a complementary founding team.
